The conference was supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Government of the Vologda Oblast. More than 90 reports were heard at the plenary and thematic sessions, devoted to the methods of genomic selection, achievements in biotechnology, environmental problems, and scientific support for the development of animal husbandry in Russia.
Mikhail Glazkov, Deputy Governor of the Vologda Oblast, Alexandra Shabunova, Director of the VolRC RAS, Nikolay Anishchenko, representative of the administration of the Vologda District, Yevgeny Mazilov, Deputy Director of the VolRC RAS took part in the online opening plenary meeting.
The conference also included thematic sessions on the following themes:
- Feed production, mechanization of technological processes in crop production;
- Prospects for animal nutrition and the development of biotechnology. Ecological problems;
- Modern aspects of breeding farm animals.
The conference heard 99 reports of experts from scientific institutions and universities in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Vologda, Arkhangelsk, Borovsk, etc.), as well as the Republic of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
The annual conference is of high importance to Russian agricultural science, bringing together researchers and practitioners from different regions and countries, giving them a possibility to share the results of scientific research, experience, and best practices.
