At the current stage of societal development, issues of socio-economic development, the analysis of demographic, socio-demographic, and ethnic characteristics, and the study of the cultural and spiritual life of society are coming to the fore. These are examined in detail in articles by leading experts in the field of social space research:
"The Role of Planning in the Spatial Development of Employment and the Regulation of Internal Labour Migration" by O.D. Vorobyeva, A.V. Topilin (Moscow);
"The Waning of Passionarity in the Demographic Concept of E. Todd" by E.V. Balatsky (Moscow);
"Elderly City Dwellers: Aspects of Inclusion in the Digital Environment" by M.A. Gruzdeva (Vologda);
"From Paper to Digital: An Analysis of E-Government Implementation in Russia" by A.A. Korzina (Vologda);
"The Commercialization of Culture in Russia: Trends and Socio-Cultural Consequences" by K.E. Kosygina, E.E. Leonidova (Vologda);
"Criteria and Drivers of Creative Activity among Higher Education Teachers in the Far East" by M.V. Chubiy (Khabarovsk);
"The Social Subjectivity of Artificial Intelligence: An Overview of the Discourse Evolution" by A.V. Noskova, A.A. Kumantsov (Moscow).
Furthermore, this issue of the journal presents the results of public opinion monitoring characterizing the dynamics of the attitude of the population in the Vologda Region toward the activities of law enforcement agencies in 2025, as well as over the past 10 years (from 2015 to 2025). It was revealed that over the past year, slight negative shifts have occurred in the dynamics of assessments of law enforcement agencies (in particular, the proportion of people satisfied with the work of the police has decreased; the share of people feeling safe on the streets in the evening has declined). Nevertheless, these changes are mild in nature, thus allowing us to state that a stable and high level of satisfaction with the work of law enforcement agencies remains (and is significantly higher for many indicators compared to 2015).
The journal's articles will be of interest to members of the academic and expert communities, university teachers, postgraduates, and master's students who study, at theoretical and empirical levels, the problems of societal research in historical, social, political, economic, axiological, and other contexts.
Full-text versions of the articles in the current issue can be found on the journal's website.
